Overview of role
- Preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, responding to emergency machine break downs.
- Involvement with new design, installation, and movements of existing machines.
- Overhaul and repair of machines and equipment ensuring machines and equipment on site is safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
- Installation of new electrical circuits, working with single and three phase.
Main Purpose of Position
- Preventative maintenance on machines and equipment, responding to emergency machine break downs.
- Involvement with new design, installation, and movements of existing machines.
- Overhaul and repair of machines and equipment ensuring machines and equipment on site is safe, working efficiently and fit for purpose.
- Installation of new electrical circuits, working with single and three phase.
- College attendance will be once a week during term time over a three-year period. On completion the candidate will receive an NVQ level 3.
- To help maintain plant, machine and facility maintenance schedule and keep updated.
- Carrying out routine operational checks of the fire and intruder alarm systems.
- Assist installation of new machines and equipment.
- Overhaul and upkeep and repair of all plant machines including CNC / PLC equipment &Powder Coating process equipment.
- Work with and install single phase / three phase electrical circuits.
- Fault Finding, testing, and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings fixtures and parts.
- Maintaining effective communication – keeping management and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required.
- Any other duty as may be required with the grading of the post and the skill of the post holder.
Qualifications Required
4 GCSEs - Math’s, English & Science at Grade 5-9 essential. (or equivalent)
A positive outgoing person that has good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
